Privacy should be a boundary, not a footnote.
This site can learn whether its work is useful without learning who you are. Necessary browser preferences remain local. Audience measurement is optional, anonymous, and deliberately narrow.
What the site stores locally
Interactive tools may store preferences or progress in your browser. The analytics choice is also stored locally so the site can respect it on later visits. These local values are not a visitor profile and are not sent to Azure unless the analytics note below says otherwise.
Optional anonymous analytics
If you allow analytics, Azure Application Insights receives the canonical page path and title, a coarse referrer host, anonymous browser and session identifiers, broad location and device information, and selected document-download or contact-intent events. The site disables automatic request tracing and automatic exception collection.
What is excluded
Telemetry excludes URL query strings, form content, email addresses, search text, and document names. It is not used to identify individual visitors. Azure necessarily processes network data to receive telemetry, but this site does not expose or intentionally retain full visitor IP addresses.
Retention and control
Application Insights data is processed in Azure West Europe and retained for 90 days. Analytics stays off until you opt in. You can change that choice at any time below or through Analytics settings in the footer. Revoking consent stops future collection and removes the analytics cookies available to this site.
Your choice
Open the preference panel to allow or refuse anonymous analytics. Refusing analytics does not limit any article, dataset, visualization, or download.
