My intellectual roots are in academia. I hold a PhD in Economics (summa cum laude) from the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim, with research stays at Yale and UC Berkeley—studying the economics of catastrophic risks long before AI made such risks mainstream discourse.
